Terms of Service
These terms govern access to AEGIS, the private verification, security and investigation system operated for Militaires Sans Frontières.
Scope
AEGIS is private infrastructure operated exclusively for the associated Discord server.
It is not a public service. Access to the server or to AEGIS may be refused, restricted or revoked by the server administration.
Verification
Access to protected areas of the server may require completing the AEGIS verification process.
Verification may use Discord account information and technical network information to detect suspicious connections, abuse, alternate-account correlations and attempts to bypass server restrictions.
Network checks
AEGIS may analyze technical network signals including IP address, ASN, connection type and indicators associated with VPNs, proxies, Tor, hosting providers, relays or mobile networks.
These signals may result in access being allowed, denied or sent for manual review depending on current server policy.
Automated network signals are not considered absolute proof of identity or abuse.
Server records
AEGIS may maintain security, moderation and investigation records relating to activity occurring inside the Discord server.
This may include verification history, moderation events, account correlations and server activity required for security or investigation purposes.

Abuse and evasion
Attempts to bypass verification, impersonate another user, reuse or share verification sessions, evade restrictions, interfere with AEGIS or deliberately provide misleading signals may be logged.
Such activity may result in manual review or moderation action.
Availability
AEGIS is provided on a best-effort basis and may be modified, interrupted or disabled without notice.
If required verification services are unavailable, new users may be prevented from completing verification until service is restored.
Changes
These terms may be updated when AEGIS, the Discord server or its security policies change.
The version currently published on this page is the applicable version.
Privacy
The AEGIS Privacy Policy describes the categories of data processed, their purpose, retention periods and access controls.
